Second Settlement 200 year Anniversary + Bounty Day
Come and join us for a special Second Settlement 200 year Anniversary + Bounty Day celebrations in June 2025. We’ve packaged a variety of tours to give you a good look at the history belonging to the Island’s second convict settlement.
ANZAC Commemoration week
Norfolk Island plays host to the first ANZAC Day commemoration in Australia each year. Come and join with the Norfolk Island RSL and community as they pay their respects on this National Day of Remembrance.
Norfolk Island Squash Masters
Come and join us for the Norfolk Island Squash Masters tournament. The Norfolk Island Squash Club invites Australian and New Zealand players to meet in the middle for their annual tournament. Family and friends are also encouraged to come along and join in the off-court activities the club has planned.
Norfolk Island Pro-Am Golf Classic
The annual Pro-Am Golf Classic is undoubtedly the highlight of the Norfolk Island golfing calendar. Held in August, you’ll have the opportunity to play with a professional golfer in a full and fun week. The event also includes daily social functions.
Baunti Tours Invitational Pairs Golf Tournament
This unique event sees players entering as a pair and playing three different types of games over three days. Day One is a 4 Ball Best Ball Stableford, Day Two is an American Foursomes and Day Three is 4 Ball Aggregate Stableford.
Anniversary Bounty Day
Anniversary (Bounty) Day on the 8th of June celebrates the anniversary of the arrival of the Pitcairn Islanders to Norfolk Island. The Pitcairn Islanders were the descendants of the infamous English sailors of mutiny on the Bounty fame and the Tahitian women who, under their leader Fletcher Christian began a new life on isolated Pitcairn Island.
Foundation Day
On 6 March 1788 Lieutenant Philip Gidley King arrived with the first settlers – a party of fifteen convicts, 9 males, 6 females and 7 free men, to take control of Norfolk Island so the Island didn’t fall into the hands of the French who were also interested in the South Pacific.
Norfolk Island Ocean Challenge
Come and join us for NOC the Rock – Norfolk Ocean Challenge in January 2025. Sponsored by OceanGas, NOC the Rock – Norfolk Ocean Challenge is a 3 day outrigger canoeing event hosted by the Norfolk Island Wa’a Outrigger Club.
