For Australian travelers, a driver’s license or photo ID is sufficient for entry. However, visitors from New Zealand or other countries will need a passport. Additionally, the visa requirements for Norfolk Island are the same as those for Australia.

The island has over 120 kilometers of roads to explore (and hilly ones at that), and having a car gives you the freedom to visit its natural wonders and historic sites at your own pace. There is no public transportation on island. If you prefer not to drive, we do recommend our be-guided tour packages.

Norfolk Island is a year-round destination, but the peak travel season is from October to April when the weather is warmer. During these months, visitors can enjoy more outdoor activities, however with a mild temperature during winter, there’s still plenty to see and do on your winter escape.
