Located in a world heritage site
A course with a view
The Norfolk Island Golf Club sits on the south-east coast at Point Hunter in Kingston, bordered by the South Pacific Ocean and surrounded by historic convict-era buildings. It is one of the only golf courses in the world within a World Heritage site.
It plays as open links-style golf, with the coastal breeze and kikuyu grass part of the challenge. You do not need a tee time, and you can hire everything you need, so a round is as easy as turning up.
This course is a must do on your trip to Norfolk Island, whether you play every week or have never held a club. Make time to enjoy a cold glass and a meal in the clubhouse after, to enjoy some of the best views on the island.
The experience
Three ways to enjoy the club
Whether you play 18 holes or just nine, the Norfolk Island Golf Club is easy to enjoy. Turn up, hire what you need and finish with the view.

Just turn up
No tee time needed. Social play is generally open any time except Wednesday and Saturday afternoons, so you can play when it suits your holiday.

Hire everything
Clubs and pull buggies are available to hire, so there is nothing to bring. We recommend booking a motorised cart ahead, as bookings are essential.

Finish at the clubhouse
The clubhouse looks over the course and the coast. The Olive Branch cafe serves lunch Monday to Saturday, and the bar is there for a drink afterwards.
